East Ayrshire Council has approved the siting of 11 static caravans within the existing Muirkirk Caravan Park. The new caravans will be placed in the current touring caravan area, toward the centre of the site. Each caravan will measure around 10.5 metres by 3.5 metres and be separated from its neighbours by approximately five metres. There will be no groundworks, and each caravan will have one designated parking space prepared by stripping around 200 millimetres of topsoil and stoning up. Each caravan is designated for short-term occupancy only, not exceeding 90 days per individual or group per calendar year.
