The Tourism Department of the Government of Cantabria has put out to tender the construction of a motorhome parking area in Liérganes. The facility will be built on a municipal plot northwest of the town, near the cemetery, outside the historic center. The project costs around €600,000 and has an execution period of eight months. Each space will measure approximately 3.5 by 7.5–8 meters, with an additional area for gray water disposal. The plan includes electrical cabinets with power outlets and LED lighting. Tourism Minister Luis Martínez Abad called it an important step to strengthen the area's tourist offer and promote sustainable tourism.
