Japanese convenience store chain Lawson is expanding its RV Park service, offering paid overnight parking spaces at store lots. After a one-year pilot at seven stores in Chiba Prefecture, the service launched on July 17 at 28 stores across four prefectures (Chiba, Saitama, Shizuoka, Aichi), with a target of 70 stores by the end of fiscal 2026. The fee is 2500–3000 yen per night, with online booking and payment. Occupancy exceeded 90% during holiday periods, averaging 20–30% annually. Most users are couples aged 50+, 30% bring pets, and over half use camper vans. 99% of surveyed users said they would use the service if more locations were available.
