In Tottori Prefecture, the renovation of the parking lot and campsite in the Uno area of Togo-ko Hawai Rinkai Park has been completed. On July 5, a ceremony marked the opening of a new overnight RV zone, "RV Park." The facility is designed for motorhomes and aims to attract tourists.
The Japan RV Association certified 11 new "RV Park" overnight facilities as of the end of June. Among them are "RV Park Satobito Club Ise Shima" in Mie Prefecture, located within an all-inclusive resort hotel (onsen, gourmet dining), and "RV Park Kou no Sato" in Kyoto Prefecture, part of a happiness-themed park. In total, Japan now has over 650 certified RV parks, often adjacent to hot springs, hotels, roadside stations, and amusement parks.
Kimura Sekiyu plans to create an RV park on the site of the former Masuhoro Shochu school in Wakkanai (Hokkaido), closed in March 2024. The park will accommodate 40 overnight vehicles and will be equipped with electricity and a waste disposal point. Opening is scheduled for autumn 2026. The city administration has submitted a proposal for free land lease to the council.
