The number of certified overnight parking facilities for vehicles, known as RV parks, in Japan has exceeded 600. According to the Japan RV Association (JRVA), there are 607 such facilities as of March 1, 2026.
The association promotes these parks as safe and comfortable places to stay in vehicles. In January and February, 13 new parks opened, including in Aichi and Ishikawa prefectures.
