The Japan RV Association (JRVA) announced that as of the end of August 2026, the number of certified RV parks for overnight car stays reached 686. Twelve new facilities were added in August, located near hot springs, inns, roadside stations, and amusement parks.
Among the new parks are "RV Park Kagero no Yu Tenku" in Fukushima Prefecture, offering views of the Pacific Ocean from a mineral-water bath, "RV Park SUWA Glass no Sato" in Nagano Prefecture with glass exhibitions and workshops, and "RV Park Ezosumika Asahikawa" in Hokkaido with rural scenery and a café.
