The municipality of Petersberg (Germany) has put four new motorhome parking spaces into operation at the Landwehr car park. A day ticket costs €6, and electricity is €0.70 per kWh. The decision was driven by the growing number of motorhomes in Germany (over 1 million in 2023, double the 2017 figure) and a shortage of spaces in the Fulda region. The spaces are equipped with charging stations and are located near a highway and a shopping center.
