Kaebangsan Camping Site, located in Pyeongchang County at an altitude of 700 meters at the foot of Mount Kaebangsan in Yongpyeong, has been recognized as the best in the Accommodation category in the 2026 KCIA Korea Consumer Industry Award (according to one source, Korea Consumer Industry Evaluation) for the sixth consecutive year.
The camping site offers various accommodation options, including RV sites, caravans, wooden deck sites, and guesthouses (pensions). Off-season rates start at 25,000 won for a wooden deck site and 120,000 won for a caravan, with prices rising during the summer season from July 1 to August 31. Check-in is at 14:00, check-out by 11:00.
The managing organization — Pyeongchang County Facilities Management — also operates the Pyeongchang Gungmin Yeoga camping site in the Bangnim area (Bangnim-myeon). The head of the corporation, Choi Sun-cheol, said the award was made possible by the interest and support of visitors and promised further service improvements.
