The motorhome area in Gallarta (Abanto-Ciérbena) completed its first year with 538 motorhomes, which spent 1,185 nights at the site, with an average stay of 2.2 days. The peak occurred in August 2025 (198 motorhomes, 349 nights), with usage stabilizing in spring 2026.
73% of visitors came from various regions of Spain, including Madrid and Barcelona, while 27% came from abroad, mainly France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany. Facilities include 10 pitches, a grey and black water dump station, water supply, and electricity.
Authorities plan to expand the offering and build a pedestrian and cycling link between Ekoetxea and Vía Verde, funded by the Basque government (400,000 euros out of 850,000).
