The 30-episode documentary series 'Verrückt nach Camping' will premiere on June 2, 2026 on MDR. The project depicts life at four campsites across Germany: in the Alps, on the North Sea, in the Lüneburg Heath and the Dübener Heide. The plot focuses on everyday situations of campers: a broken toilet in a caravan, a first trip with a toddler in a camper van, conflicts on the campsite. The series also covers staff work: an electrician checking gas equipment and an administrator maintaining order.
