According to an analysis by camping company Pincamp, a family overnight stay at a campsite in Lower Saxony during the low season averages 34 euros, 12% less than in summer. Across Germany, the off-season discount averages 11%, with the largest reduction in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern at 24%. Only Schleswig-Holstein (31 euros), Thuringia (32 euros) and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (33 euros) are cheaper than Lower Saxony, while the national average is 36 euros. Outside Germany, low-season prices drop more sharply: by 53% in Croatia and 38% in Italy and Spain.
