Camping Resort Zugspitze in Grainau near Garmisch-Partenkirchen has combined cold water, exercise, mountain air and quiet into a longevity programme. The resort consists of two sites: the five-star Zugspitzblick with mountain huts, a treehouse, premium pitches with private bathrooms and saunas, and the three-star site on the Loisach river with comfort pitches, sleeping barrels, a tent meadow and a motorhome harbour powered by solar electricity. At the end of a circular trail near Hammersbach, a new Kneipp pool fed by mountain water is available, followed by Finnish, bio and infrared saunas with mountain views. Managing director Werner Wilhelm said longevity is essentially analogue: cold, exercise, good air and quiet.
