According to one source, the unit is equipped with a seat with a cleaning function, reducing hygiene risks. According to another source, the trailer has four separate cabins with power supply and a flushing system.
The mayor emphasized the importance of the TKB system (toilet, kitchen, bed) in preventing disaster-related deaths. Plans include equipping all city wards with such trailers, providing each school district with 30 folding beds, and signing agreements with businesses to supply hot meals at shelters.
In autumn, small toilet vehicles are planned to be placed in seven city wards, and in May the trailer will be used in large-scale exercises in Kumamoto Prefecture.
