Japanese travel blogger Arisa rented a camper based on the Daihatsu Hijet Cargo for a two-day trip. The 48-hour rental cost about 11,000 yen excluding insurance. Campers built on light vans are cheaper to buy, and registering as a light goods vehicle (4-number plate) brings tax benefits. According to Arisa, the interior length is sufficient to lie down fully, and the height allows kneeling upright.
