According to data from FAITA Federcamping, HBenchmark and CISET, motorhome tourism in Italy reached 74 million overnight stays in 2025, generating an economic impact of €8.5 billion. Research by Ergo (a spin-off of Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna di Pisa) found that this type of holiday reduces CO2 emissions by 70%, fossil resource consumption by 64%, and water use by 73% compared to traditional tourism.
According to Salone del Camper, 93% of respondents choose motorhome and caravan travel. 46% of young Italians consider ecology a priority (European Parliament Youth Survey). The motorhome show will be held in Parma from 12 to 20 September 2026.
