In May, enjoy spring outings at campsites near Gyeonggi Old Road

Authorities in Donghae (Gangwon Province, South Korea) have completed the renovation of Mangsang-2 Campground, turning it into a 40-space RV-only site. Opening is scheduled for July 2026.

The Cheongnyangsan Suwon Camping Site in Bonghwa County, North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea, has drawn 6,067 visitors from its opening in October 2025 through May 2026. Of these, 4,038 (67%) were residents of Suwon, located 220 km away. Occupancy rate rose from 30.9% to 71.3%. The project is a cooperation between Suwon and Bonghwa: Bonghwa transferred management rights to Suwon for 10 years free of charge, while Suwon upgraded facilities. The site is seen as a model for mutual tourism to combat regional decline.

Yeongdeok and Ulleung counties (North Gyeongsang Province) will participate in the Local Brand Fair 2026 from July 2 to 4 at HICO Convention Center in Gyeongju, presenting campsites and tourist routes along the east coast and Ulleung Island.

This is a 67% increase compared to the same period under previous management. Occupancy rose from 30.9% to 71.3%. Suwon residents accounted for about 67% of visitors (4,038 people). The site offers 12 motorhome pitches, 6 caravans, 5 tent sites, and 7 glamping units.

The Cheongnyangsan Suwon Campground, opened under a cooperation agreement between Suwon and Bonghwa, offers visitors a range of summer activities. These include making constellation lanterns, yoga and meditation therapy, crafting syrups from local specialties, and woodworking classes. The campground features 18 accommodation units, including auto camping zones, caravans, and glamping. Since its opening in October 2024, it has attracted 6,067 visitors, a 67% increase compared to the previous period.

The Suwon camping site at Cheongnyangsan Mountain in Bonghwa County, North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea, will open reservations for August on July 1. Applications are accepted via the Campingtalk app and website until July 15, followed by a lottery. Half of the spots are reserved for residents of Suwon and Bonghwa, the rest are random. The site has 12 auto-camping spots and 18 accommodation units (caravans, glamping).
