Silvia and Sergio from Rosario converted a 1995 Mercedes-Benz 1215 passenger bus into a motorhome and have been traveling South America for over a year. Sergio originally bought the bus for spare parts for his work trucks, but his wife suggested turning it into a mobile home. The interior includes a full kitchen, inverter refrigerator, washing machine, air conditioning, and a 500-liter potable water tank. Power is supplied by four 450 W solar panels and two 200 Ah lithium batteries, with a 3000 W inverter peaking at 5000 W. A dry toilet and grey water tank are used. The couple reports lower stress and reduced consumption since retiring.
