Delia Isolina Torres from Lobos, Argentina, converted her 1991 Renault 11 into a camper van after separating from her husband and began travelling around the country. The conversion was done on a low budget during the pandemic: she removed the passenger seat, installed a drawer unit with a mattress, a gas stove, a chemical toilet and a roof box. Her first major trip in 2021 lasted about 15 days to Las Grutas in Río Negro. In 2024 she spent up to 40 days on the road, visiting Iguazú Falls and Moconá Falls, both more than 1,300 km from her home. In May last year the Renault 11's engine failed, after which she bought a Citroën Berlingo and converted it into a camper van herself.
