Marianne and Chris, former UK National Health Service workers, left their stable life in Telford, Shropshire, in January 2020 to travel. Using a 2005 Fiat Ducatoⓘ motorhome named Trudy, they visited 30 countries over four and a half years while trying to live on a budget of 27 pounds per day. Their YouTube channel gained 180,000 subscribers and over 27 million views; they returned home in September 2024. For the next leg, from New Zealand back to the UK, the couple bought a new motorhome, Trevor, equipped with a pop-up roof to reduce shipping costs. The planned route includes stops in Australia, Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, China, Kurdistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Georgia; longer-term plans include Africa and the Americas, with a final destination in Canada.
