At the same time, some long-term vanlifers are returning to stationary housing due to overcrowded campsites and deteriorating community relations.
Affordable novelties at CMT 2026
At the CMT 2026 trade fair in Stuttgart (January 17–25), a range of new motorhomes, caravans and campers were presented. The key trend is affordable models for beginners, including the Papillon camper van from Bürstner starting at 39,999 euros. Many manufacturers are targeting price-conscious buyers and family travelers.
Budget compact camper
Roller Team has introduced the new budget Livingstone Go line for the 2026 model year. The test featured the shortest camper in the series, the K2 Go, 5.41 meters long with a pop-up roof. The model features a refreshed exterior and interior design, including two-tone cabinet fronts and matte gray accents.
