Swift Group has unveiled the updated Monza 2026, based on the Ford Transit Custom. The motorhome features a pop-up roof with a double bed, a kitchen unit with a 42-liter fridge and a two-burner Dometic hob, and a portable toilet. Standard equipment includes a 240W solar panel, a 95Ah auxiliary battery, a 2.2kW diesel heater, and a 40-liter fresh water tank. It is powered by a 170 hp 2.0-liter EcoBlue diesel engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Pricing in the UK starts at £75,490 (approximately $101,000). Official sales in the US are not planned.

EU introduces unified parking card for persons with disabilities

The European Union has adopted two directives creating a European Disability Card and a modernized European Parking Card, valid across all member states. The parking card, featuring a QR code and digital security elements, will replace national parking permits. Holders will automatically receive the same parking conditions as residents of the visited country. Member states have 30 months to transpose the directives into national law and 42 months for full implementation.

1998 Dodge Caravan turned into twin-turbo V8 drift taxi

Savage Racing NW converted a 1998 Dodge Caravan minivan into a rear-wheel-drive drift car. The stock engine was replaced with a 5.3-liter LSx V8 fed by two eBay-style turbos, boost limited to 0.5 bar until brakes are tuned. The drivetrain includes a Tremec TKX-600 five-speed manual and a Winters quick-change rear differential, typically used in oval racing. Front suspension and brakes come from a Nissan 240SX, rear uses a three-link setup with QA1 coilovers.

Motorhome drives into field near Hanságliget

On June 7, 2026, around 9:25 AM, a traffic accident occurred on Highway 86 at kilometer 171 between Hanságliget and Jánossomorja. A woman driving a Fiat motorhome with German license plates, for reasons still unclear, crossed into the oncoming lane, drove into a ditch, and came to rest in a field. Volunteer firefighters from Jánossomorja and professional firefighters from Mosonmagyaróvár arrived and disconnected the vehicle's power. Paramedics treated the woman at the scene and transported her to a hospital. Traffic was restricted on the section during the rescue and investigation.

RV owner dumps sewage into diesel tank at Colorado gas station

At a gas station in Colorado, an RV driver mistakenly emptied their black and gray water tanks into an underground diesel tank that had just been filled with fresh fuel. The station had a free RV dump station on site, but the driver instead lifted a heavy industrial manhole cover by the roadside. The station now faces costs for industrial tank cleaning and disposal of several thousand liters of contaminated diesel.

Cadillac team presented its first Formula 1 motorhome at the Monaco Grand Prix. The three-story, 765 sq m structure was designed and built in 13 months, requires 21 trucks for transport, and takes about 12 hours to assemble. Citroen has introduced a special 30th anniversary edition of the Berlingo, based on the Plus trim. The Berlingo 30 features exclusive '30' badges on the A-pillars, 16-inch black alloy wheels, tinted rear windows, and electrically folding mirrors. Inside, it gets Advanced Comfort seats and three individual seats in the second row, unique to this edition. It is available in both body lengths and with all three engine options (petrol, diesel, electric). Over 4.2 million units of the Berlingo have been produced in 30 years.

Man in Szeged Damages Finnish Tourist's Motorhome While Drunk

The Szeged District Prosecutor's Office has charged a man who, in autumn 2025, while intoxicated, damaged a motorhome parked in the city center. According to the indictment, on September 9, 2025, he broke the windshield wipers, struck the mirror, and damaged the rear bumper of the vehicle. The Finnish owner suffered damages of approximately 100,000 forints. The court sentenced the accused to three years of probation.

Ford unveils Nugget motorhome based on Transit Custom

At the Caravan fair in Düsseldorf, Ford presented the Nugget motorhome, built on a short-wheelbase Transit Custom Kombi. The model was developed jointly with German specialist Westfalia. Orders open from October 1, initially only in Germany. The motorhome is powered by a 2.2-liter Duratorq TDCi diesel with 125 or 155 hp, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. The living area features swiveling captain's chairs, a rear bench that converts into a bed (1.9×1.3 m), and a pop-top roof bed (2.10×1.41 m). The kitchen unit includes a sink, two-burner gas hob, 40-liter fridge, and 42-liter fresh and waste water tanks. Base price (125 hp) is €36,000; the Westfalia conversion package costs €16,184, bringing the total to at least €52,181.50.

Volkswagen unveils huge motorhome based on Crafter

At the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf, Volkswagen presented the California XXL concept based on the Crafter. The motorhome features a two-tone paint job and a raised roof to accommodate a two-meter double bed. Inside, it includes a shower, toilet, kitchen with two gas burners, a sofa, and swiveling front seats. The concept is equipped with a solar panel on the roof, and its aerodynamics are close to the production model.
