The Slovenian Traffic Safety Agency advises checking before departure or rental that your driving licence category matches the vehicle. For motorhomes up to 3500 kg, category B suffices; heavier vehicles require C1 or C. Motorhomes have significantly longer braking distances, are sensitive to side winds, and exceeding the maximum mass directly affects safety. Route planning must account for height restrictions and increased stopping distance.
