The administration of the Bulgarian municipality of Tsarevo has denied reports of a camping site being built behind Butamyata beach near the village of Sinemorets. According to officials, the plots are intended solely for temporary placement of tents, campers and caravans under national regulations. Tenders for the lease have been held, but the tenant has not yet received an operating permit.
Earlier, Plamen Marinov, director of the Burgas environmental inspectorate, reported violations at the site where the company "Pepe.bg" began preparations without permission from RIOSV. Sources indicate that a ditch has been dug, water supply installed, and electrical infrastructure is being laid. The facility already hosted visitors during a sports competition in late May. The municipality stresses that the tenant lacks necessary approvals, and a violation notice is being prepared, after which activities will be suspended.
