Camping and Caravaning Expo 2024 moves to Sofia Land with record exhibitors

The seventh edition of Bulgaria's largest camping, caravanning, and outdoor leisure exhibition will be held at the former Sofia amusement park, Sofia Land, from April 12 to 14. The event will feature a record 82 exhibitors showcasing the latest models of caravans, motorhomes, tents, and outdoor gear, alongside a farmers' market with over 30 producers. Organizers will also present a new guide covering 60 campsites across Bulgaria and a special retro camping installation from the 1970s and 80s.

Tsarevo Municipality Defends Caravan Sites Near Sinemorets

The administration of the Bulgarian municipality of Tsarevo issued an official position on the case of leasing municipal land for campers, caravans, and tents near Butamyata beach in Sinemorets. Authorities called opposition to camping sites illogical, stating they are the only eco-friendly alternative to coastal overdevelopment. The Burgas District Prosecutor's Office found violations in the transfer of 35 decares of land, including a lack of environmental approvals for Strandzha Nature Park, but the municipality insists the tender procedure was followed and notes that prior approval is the tenant's responsibility.

Bulgarian company HIP Campers unveils HIP 4Family motorhome based on Mercedes-Benz Sprinter

Bulgarian startup HIP Campers has introduced the HIP 4Family motorhome, 7.2 meters long, designed for family use. The model features two separate sleeping areas for children and parents, a kitchen with a 125×60 cm countertop and a 141-liter fridge, and a spacious bathroom. Total storage capacity is 2,780 liters. The base version costs €150,000, the Maxi version €160,000, and the Supreme version €200,000.
