The Burgas prosecutor's office found violations in the Tsarevo municipal council's decision to lease four plots near the village of Sinemorets for caravans and other structures. Two grounds for illegality were identified: the status of the plots (two are private municipal property, which does not allow the procedure under the prescribed order) and their location in Strandzha Nature Park and the Natura 2000 network, where no environmental impact assessment was conducted. The prosecutor's office sent a proposal to reopen the procedure.
The Tsarevo administration denied plans to create a campsite at Butamyata beach. The plots were leased for temporary placement of tents, campers and caravans in accordance with a regulation of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works, which does not provide for permanent infrastructure. The tenant has not yet received a permit because required approvals from control bodies were not submitted. The municipality insists the decisions were not challenged within the legal deadline and is ready to defend them in court.
