The Canary Islands government has drafted a regulation governing the placement of motorhomes and caravans. The document prohibits free camping outside designated areas, requires campsites to have reception, parking spaces and sanitary facilities, and limits stays in overnight zones to 72 hours. The regulation is expected to take effect in September 2026.
