A MaltaToday reporter secured a 24-hour permit to park a caravan at Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq in 10 minutes for €1, without owning a caravan or providing any proof of ownership. The online system did not verify age or identity — the applicant claimed to be over 60 despite being in their early 20s. Naxxar mayor Christopher Deguara said the council has no control over permits issued in its name and called for the system to be removed from automated processing.
