China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism announced at a press conference on August 18 that it will work with relevant departments to develop measures to boost RV (房车) consumption. Ministry representative Gu Kewei said that measures will also be prepared to optimize the allocation of natural resources for orderly tourism development.
The ministry plans to create the first batch of national demonstration zones for cultural and tourism industry development to improve service quality in counties. Officials noted growing interest in rural leisure and county-town travel, which opens new opportunities for local economies. The new measures are expected to systematically address land use, campsite construction, and traffic management for RVs.
