Starting September 1, 2026, motorhomes will no longer be allowed to remain at the Municipal Tourist Vehicle Parking in Arraial do Cabo. The measure follows Article 9 of Municipal Decree No. 3.506/2021, which provides for parking fee exemption for motorhomes with reservations at local campsites and prohibits their circulation or parking on public streets. Exceptional entry authorization may be granted upon arrival at the city's entrance gate, provided proof of campsite reservation is shown, after which drivers must proceed directly to the reserved campsite. The municipality stated that using public space for lodging, overnight stays, camping, or setting up external structures is not permitted.
