Ilca, Paulo and Nescau left the corporate sector in São Paulo in 2025 to embark on a multi-year journey from Brazil to Alaska in a converted 3 m² Chevrolet S10 4x4 pickup. They have already visited 35 countries and recently backpacked through Asia. The project involves converting the vehicle into a motorhome and covering a route across multiple countries and borders.

The Casinha Viageira project, in which a couple travels Brazil in a motorhome offering free storytelling and a mobile library, will end its first tour of Rio de Janeiro state on 26 September 2026 in Niterói at Praça Vital Brasil at 10:00. Admission is free. The Andanças Fluminenses tour has already visited Tanguá, Rio Bonito, Inhaúma, Grajaú, Tijuca and Manguinhos. Activities include playful performances, storytelling and access to a library of just over one hundred titles, plus a short tour of the motorhome.
Around 400 motorhomes gathered in Pomerode, Brazil, over the weekend for a large meeting of motorhome enthusiasts. The event brought together owners who travel without leaving home comforts behind.

The third edition of the Motorhome Rally took place in Pato Bragado, Paraná, Brazil, bringing together more than 100 motorhomes and participants from various regions and other countries. Mayor John Nodari stated that the event boosted local commerce and promoted tourist attractions, including Porto Britânia, which is set to receive investments for improvements and revitalization, as well as the Municipal Lake. The rally was organized by a committee of local motorhome owners and the Municipal Department of Industry and Commerce.

Laura Terra, 35, a journalist from Pelotas, and Bruno Rezende, 36, a videomaker from São Bernardo do Campo, live in a converted van they call Maresia e Marerê. The expedition began on 24 July in Barra do Chuí, at the southern tip of Brazil, and is expected to end in Oiapoque, Amapá, covering more than 8,500 km; the estimated duration is two to three years. The couple originally planned a South American tour, but after being defrauded during the van's conversion and exceeding their budget, they opted to start with Brazil's coast from south to north. They are accompanied by three cats; the journey is documented on social media under the name The Search Couple.
Former Brazilian deputy prosecutor-general Solange Mendes de Souza converted a motorhome into a home to carry her piano after retirement. The Piano Nômade project has covered Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Paraguay, Chile and Peru, logging nearly 50,000 km. The motorhome is equipped with solar panels, lithium batteries, a diesel stove and tanks for 260 litres of water. The next stage is North America (US, Mexico, Canada).
The 2026 Motorhome Gathering in Rio das Ostras, held September 4–6, had an estimated economic impact of R$ 415,000. According to a survey, 88% of tourists cited the event as the main reason for their trip, the average stay was five days, and 96% said they intended to return within a year.

A municipal study estimates the economic impact of Encontro de Motorhomes 2026 in Rio das Ostras at 415.6 thousand reais. The event took place September 4–6 at Costazul.
From September 11 to 20, Pomerode, Brazil, is hosting a national motorhome rally organised by Grupo Rodamundo Santa Catarina. The event takes place at the Municipal Events Park; at least 380 motorhomes are expected, with previous editions reaching 535 vehicles. Participation costs R$ 330 for members and R$ 350 for non-members, with no camping fee. The programme includes music, tours, traditional German dinners and competitions; transport is provided for shopping and sightseeing.
In Mata do Jacinto, Campo Grande, a camera recorded a tree falling onto a motorhome. The incident was captured by a camera installed on the vehicle.
The 9th Motorhome, Camper Van and Kombi Home Gathering will take place on the 12th and 13th in Tubarão, Santa Catarina, at the Arena Multiuso. Entry is free for visitors, while registration for vehicle owners costs R$ 80 for the two days. The programme includes a vehicle exhibition, a camping area, a flea market and a pet adoption fair.

From September 4 to 7, Gravataí hosted the 2nd Encontro de Motorhomes, attracting about 200 vehicles from Brazil and Paraguay. Attendees donated 1.1 tons of food for the local food bank.
Passeios Kids and Sunrise Motorhomes have partnered for a family motorhome expedition to Ubatuba, São Paulo state. The trip runs December 5–9, with participants staying at Camping Garopão. Activities include children's recreation, a schooner tour with stops at Ilha Anchieta and Praia das 7 Fontes, and a parents' sunset event. Prices start at R$ 11,900 per motorhome for two people; additional guests over 5 years cost R$ 3,400 each.
A couple from Itajaí, Santa Catarina, Brazil, Thaís and Daniel, converted a Volkswagen Kombi into a motorhome and have been traveling for two years. They have visited Uruguay, Argentina, and Chile and are currently in Brazil. Their next goal is to drive from Ushuaia to Alaska.
Clowns Greice Miotello (Gretta) and Allan Ortega (Billy) are wrapping up a tour across Santa Catarina, performing in 17 municipalities. The Roda Riso project, funded by the state's Culture Incentive Program, includes 100 performances, including at schools and open venues. September brings final shows in Nova Veneza, Criciúma, Braço do Norte, Laguna, and Tubarão. The second edition has reached about 10,500 people directly and over 2 million indirectly.
Marcopolo Motorhome has launched the national tour of the Nomade, the first integral motorhome developed and produced by the new Marcopolo division. The 4x4 vehicle, priced between R$1.5 million and R$2.65 million, features a 175-hp Cummins engine, Allison automatic transmission, and up to 16 square meters of living space. Production takes place at the Ana Rech industrial complex in Caxias do Sul, Brazil. According to Sebrae, the Brazilian motorhome market is projected to grow 6.3%–11.2% annually.
According to a Fecomércio survey, average tourist spending in the mountain region of Santa Catarina rose 25% year-on-year to R$ 3.5 thousand per travel group. The area offers options ranging from campsites at R$ 60 per person to exclusive cabins with photographer and massage services at R$ 900 per night. In Urubici, where tourism employs over 2,500 people, 52.5% of visitors stay in hotels and 24.3% rent properties.

Marcopolo has unveiled the Nomade motorhome, priced from R$ 1.5 million. The 7.5-meter model offers 12 m² of interior space, including a bedroom, bathroom with shower, living area and a kitchen equipped with refrigerator, oven, microwave and wine cellar. An additional kitchen is located outside. The vehicle comes with air conditioning, washing machine, TV, 360-degree cameras, solar panels and Starlink satellite internet. It produces 175 hp, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and 4x4 drive. According to Marcopolo, the entire 2026 production run has already been sold.
In Brazil, the market for luxury horse trailers used in vaquejada competitions has reached prices comparable to high-end real estate, with costs exceeding R$ 50,000 per square meter. These vehicles, such as the one owned by singer Wesley Safadão, valued at over R$ 1 million, feature gold-plated faucets, automatic doors, and outdoor leisure areas. The industry classifies these trailers on a one-to-five-star scale based on comfort for riders and animals. One of the most expensive trailers at the Expofeira event in Bahia included two full suites, a kitchen, and air conditioning. The economic rationale is tied to the growth of vaquejada as a business: a single event creates about 100 direct and 300 indirect jobs, and the record sale of a horse reached R$ 6.5 million.
