A justice of the peace in Ravenna annulled two fines (€114 and €164) issued by local police to a Romani family for parking their motorhome in the square in front of the Basilica of Sant'Apollinare in Classe in July 2021. The judge ruled that placing a hammock, children's toys, and drying laundry on the windshield did not constitute camping but rather ordinary parking. The family's lawyer indicated plans to challenge similar fines from June of that year.
