British converter Wellhouse Leisure has presented the i-Camper, a demonstration electric camper van built on the Kia PV5 Cargo Plus. The finished conversion starts at £63,000 in the UK. The 4.69-metre living module includes a pop-top roof with a sleeping area, a kitchen block with a sink and fresh water tank, a plinth heater, and double-glazed windows with blinds and insect screens. Power comes from a lithium leisure battery, a 12-volt system and a mains hook-up, while V2L technology allows external appliances to run from the traction battery. The project is based on the Kia PV5 Long Range with a 71.2 kWh battery, a WLTP range of up to 397 km and a 10% to 80% fast charge in about 30 minutes.
