Clinton's Planning Commission voted 5-0 to recommend that the city council approve a zoning change from residential to commercial for a property at Springdale Drive and Willard Road, where Cody Doody plans to relocate his RV dealership Happy Times RV from St. George. The 11-acre site, across from Rosemont Cemetery and the National Guard Armory and between Clinton High and Middle Schools, would host RV sales and service on about 5 acres plus a retail strip mall. The council must hold two readings, with the first possible on Sept. 14.
