Rongcheng, a county-level city in Shandong Province, has become China's largest RV manufacturing and export base within 15 years. In the first half of 2026, the city's RV exports reached 1.06 billion yuan, up 21% year on year, accounting for over 55% of China's total RV exports and 87.6% of Shandong Province's. The local industry produces motorhomes, travel trailers, camping trailers, and tent campers, representing about 30% of China's total output. About 40% of components are sourced locally, and customs clearance times have been cut by more than 80% through an appointment-based inspection system.
