The Volkner Mobil Performance, which returns in a new edition in 2027, is a motorhome 12 metres long. Its key feature is a patented central garage built between the axles, an idea of company founder Gerhard Volkner. The layout is used across all Performance models and lets owners carry a car without taking height from the living area.
Garage and equipment
- A hydraulic platform lowers, takes the car and lifts it into the garage.
- Every version fits a compact four-seat car, while the largest model, the Performance S, offers 4.62 metres of space, enough for a Porsche.
- Custom options include an extension for a Bugatti Chiron, mounts for three motorcycles or a summer kitchen with a grill, hob and sink.
- Once the car is unloaded, the platform becomes a terrace under an awning.
The 18-tonne vehicle has air suspension from touring coaches and a 460 hp Volvo diesel or a 430 hp Mercedes engine with an I-Shift gearbox. When stationary, the left side extends and the interior grows from 30 to 35 square metres. Equipment includes an induction hob, oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, multi-zone air conditioning, a 2,000 W solar system and an office area. The Performance S also has a multi-zone audio system developed with Burmester. The starting price is around €2 million, accessories excluded.
