A parked Fiat motorhome burned out completely in Puttgarden on Strandweg on the evening of Saturday 31 October. The owner had left the vehicle in front of his property at about 19:15 and heard crackling and a bang about two hours later. He saw the motorhome fully ablaze and called the emergency services. Firefighters extinguished the fire, which also damaged a wooden fence. No one was injured and police are investigating the cause. Initial estimates put the damage at about 10,000 euros.
