iCAR V23: Electric SUV with boxy design launched in Indonesia

At GIIAS 2026, Isuzu, together with Jajago Keliling Indonesia and coachbuilder Delima Mandiri, presented the Komo camper based on the ELF NLR B truck. The vehicle features a diesel engine producing 120 PS, a 6-speed manual transmission, a BLUETTI energy storage system with 7,800 Wh, and 1,000 W solar panels. The creators, couple John and Rihana, have built their fourth camper, adapted for long trips across Indonesia.

She also reported high ferry costs (up to 3.6 million rupiah) and instances of alleged illegal fees.

Media Indonesia has published a list of 10 vehicle models commonly used as campervan bases in Indonesia. The list includes Toyota Hiace Premio, Daihatsu Gran Max, Suzuki Carry, Mitsubishi L300, Nissan Serena, Hyundai H-1, Isuzu Traga, Volkswagen Transporter, Toyota TownAce, and DFSK Gelora E. Prices for standard units range from 160 million to 660 million Indonesian rupiah depending on model and condition.
