iCAR V23: Electric SUV with boxy design launched in Indonesia

The 4th anniversary of the Campervan Indonesia Priangan Timur community was held in Tasikmalaya, West Java, attracting hundreds of campervans from across the province. The Regent of Tasikmalaya officially launched the event, highlighting the community's role in promoting local tourism. In addition to the gathering, a charity event was organized for local residents.

Karoseri Adiputro has released a new motorhome for PO Bagong Pariwisata, previously showcased at Busworld Southeast Asia 2026. The vehicle is built on a Mercedes-Benz OH 1626 Euro 4 chassis with air suspension. Interior features include sleeping berths, a mini kitchen with coffee maker and refrigerator, a toilet with shower, and six passenger seats with legrests.

In Central Java, Indonesia, a family of four was found dead in their tent. The incident occurred at an altitude of about 1,823 meters, with thick fog hampering the recovery of bodies. Police are investigating two main theories: carbon monoxide poisoning from a gas stove used inside the tent, or food poisoning. Food samples have been sent for lab analysis; the investigation is ongoing.

VinFast launched the locally assembled VF MPV 7 at its Subang plant in West Java on May 20, 2026. The seven-seat electric MPV features a 201 hp motor and a range of up to 450 km (NEDC). Price with battery is 420 million IDR, with battery subscription from 345 million IDR.

In May 2026, Goalpara Estate Camp (West Java) will start renting campervans for trips along the southern coast of Sukabumi. The vehicles accommodate 4–5 people and include a toilet, cooking equipment, and sleeping areas. Rental prices have not been announced yet. During the May long weekend, the campsite reached 100% occupancy.
