At Caravan Salon 2026, Ective presented the Solarshade roof awning, which incorporates solar cells to generate electricity. Unlike the wall-mounted version, the new model is suitable for campervans and vans with sliding doors. According to the manufacturer, under optimal conditions it can produce up to 4.5 kWh of solar energy per day. The awning can be extended and retracted via a built-in motor or manual crank; a test model underwent approximately 7,000 cycles without functional impairment. Sales are planned for January 2027, with an estimated price between 3,000 and 3,600 euros depending on size. For comparison, the wall awning starts at 3,999 euros for the small version (350 x 200 cm; 465 W peak power) and 4,499 euros for the larger format (400 x 200 cm; 510 W peak power).
