The Saarburg-Kell association of municipalities signed a cooperation agreement with Camping-Car Park on June 9, 2026, to operate the 'Hochwald' campsite. The site closed at the end of 2025 for renovations and will reopen as a dedicated motorhome parking area. The operator will invest around €100,000 to set up 30 motorhome pitches and integrate the site into its European booking network with over one million users. The reopening is planned for summer 2026.

The 'Camping Resort Rülzheim' in Rhineland-Palatinate has received the 'Bett+Bike' certification from the German Cyclists' Club (ADFC). The certification confirms that the site meets criteria for cycle tourists, including secure bike storage, drying facilities, repair tools, and route information. A car and a motorhome collided on the A20 near Dummerstorf, Germany. The 66-year-old car driver failed to yield. Both drivers were hospitalized, one with serious injuries. Damage estimated at €50,000.
