Marcopolo Starts Deliveries of Nomade Motorhome in Brazil

The Fernandópolis City Council approved in an extraordinary session on September 3 a bill officially naming the public space in the parking area of the Dr. Querton Ribamar Prado de Souza Municipal Gymnasium ('Beira-Rio') as 'Motorhome Support Point Valdecir Aparecido Carreteiro'. The bill's author, councilman Lucas Biazotto Ferreira, stated it is a posthumous tribute to the local citizen, who died on April 17, 2025, at age 61, and was known for his contributions to the community and his passion for roads and travel.

Marcopolo has unveiled the Nomade motorhome, priced from R$ 1.5 million. The 7.5-meter model offers 12 m² of interior space, including a bedroom, bathroom with shower, living area and a kitchen equipped with refrigerator, oven, microwave and wine cellar. An additional kitchen is located outside. The vehicle comes with air conditioning, washing machine, TV, 360-degree cameras, solar panels and Starlink satellite internet. It produces 175 hp, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and 4x4 drive. According to Marcopolo, the entire 2026 production run has already been sold.

In Brazil, the market for luxury horse trailers used in vaquejada competitions has reached prices comparable to high-end real estate, with costs exceeding R$ 50,000 per square meter. These vehicles, such as the one owned by singer Wesley Safadão, valued at over R$ 1 million, feature gold-plated faucets, automatic doors, and outdoor leisure areas. The industry classifies these trailers on a one-to-five-star scale based on comfort for riders and animals. One of the most expensive trailers at the Expofeira event in Bahia included two full suites, a kitchen, and air conditioning. The economic rationale is tied to the growth of vaquejada as a business: a single event creates about 100 direct and 300 indirect jobs, and the record sale of a horse reached R$ 6.5 million.

From September 4 to 7, the Atafona resort in São João da Barra will host the 5th Expocampismo of Rio de Janeiro State. Organizers expect over 200 motorhomes and visitors from various Brazilian states and South American countries. The program includes motorhome and equipment exhibitions, lectures, musical performances, sports activities, and entertainment. The event is open to the public.

Brazilian bus maker Marcopolo has introduced the Nomade motorhome, built on an Agrale chassis with 4×4 drive and automatic transmission. It features two kitchens, a bedroom, and a bathroom, with prices starting at R$ 1.5 million. All 2026 units are already sold out.

The municipality of Parauapebas carried out an operation to remove nine trailers and one tent that occupied public parking on Avenida Liberdade between JK and Santa Maria streets. The action, held on the morning of Thursday, the 27th, is part of the regulation of public space use. Since July 15, 2026, traders had been notified to make structures mobile, remove them daily, and obtain a license. Under the rules, such structures may remain in parking lots only from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., and spaces must be free during the day. Violations may result in fines and administrative removal.
