California-based Exclusive Outfitters has introduced a motorhome built on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 4×4 chassis, designed for extended off-grid use. The model features increased ground clearance, reinforced underbody protection, off-road wheels, a winch, roof rack, ladder, solar panels and a retractable awning. The interior includes a convertible lounge area, a kitchen with a stove, cabinet and refrigerator, plus a shower and toilet; finishes use wood and metal. Power is provided by an inverter, removable batteries and solar panels. The company offers several configuration options based on operating conditions and budget.

Papago Vans, a Mesa, Arizona-based company, has unveiled a custom camper van built on a 2024 AWD Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with a 170-inch wheelbase. The vehicle features Black Rhino wheels with Nitto Ridge Grappler all-terrain tires, a Van Compass Stage 4.3 suspension kit, a CAtuned front bumper with a Warn 12S winch, 400 W solar panels, and an 800 Ah SOK lithium battery bank with a 3,000 W inverter/charger. The interior includes a kitchen with a stainless steel sink and microwave, a bathroom with a shower and portable toilet, a queen-size bed, and a garage with two FVC pull-out trays rated for up to 500 lb (227 kg).

The Sandpoint City Council voted 4-2 to begin construction of a modified version of the City Beach RV Park renovation project this winter. The essential option will use roughly $270,000 of the construction budget and will not include a restroom and shower facility, which is delayed to a later date. The signature option, retaining the restroom and shower, would cost about $660,000 and delay construction for a year. The city plans to apply for additional grants in January to eventually build the restroom and shower facility.

Papago Vans, a Mesa, Arizona-based company, has completed a camper van conversion on a 2026 Ram ProMaster 159 Extended with a high roof. The build features BFGoodrich KO3 all-terrain tires, a Van Compass suspension kit, a Warn 12S winch, four 100 W solar panels, an 800 Ah battery bank, a 3,000 W inverter/charger, a 33-gallon (125-liter) freshwater tank, and a Laveo dry-flush toilet. The El Capitan build on which this rig is based starts at $127,395 (€109,595), excluding the van.

A 1956 Cadillac Sixty Special converted into a camper will be auctioned by Mecum in Nashville on September 25, 2026. The vehicle was built by a professional coachbuilder in Elkhart, Indiana. It is estimated to sell for between $30,000 and $40,000. The camper features a sleeping area (75 by 48 inches), a stove, sink, refrigerator, and dining area. It retains its original 365-cubic-inch V8 engine rated at 285 horsepower, four-speed Hydra-Matic transmission, power steering, power brakes, power windows, and radio.

Elon Musk said on the All-In podcast that he is currently staying in an Airstream travel trailer in Memphis, where he is overseeing construction of the new xAI data center. Prices for such trailers in the US start at 54,000 euros, while larger, custom or limited-production models can exceed 210,000 euros. Musk has previously slept at Tesla factories and Twitter headquarters, and in 2021 he stayed in a Boxabl prefab home in Texas.
