In 2025, Italy registered 7,936 new motorhomes, a 10.56% increase year-on-year. The Italian market grew nearly 18 times faster than the European average (+0.6%), reaching a total market value of €8.5 billion. Annual registrations have more than doubled since 2014 (+113%). The used motorhome market also expanded by 6.05%, with over 44,000 total transactions in 2025. In September 2025, the Ministry of Tourism allocated €25.7 million to create 4,464 new parking spots across 170 municipalities, with estimated annual management revenue of €267 million and a long-term economic impact exceeding €373 million. Italy is the third-largest producer of recreational vehicles in Europe after Germany and France, employing over 8,000 workers, with more than 80% of production exported.
