Honda unveils Base Station prototype modular travel trailer

Honda Access unveiled a Stepwgn minivan version for overnight stays and remote work. It features a sleeping area over 2 m long, a fold-out laptop table, and a 15.6-inch monitor.

At the Tokyo Outdoor Show 2026, held from June 28 to 30, 2026, at Makuhari Messe, Elecom showcased its NESTOUT portable battery series and related gear. The lineup includes batteries with capacities from 5,000 to 20,000 mAh, a USB-powered circulator, LED lantern, multi-cooker, and a carbon monoxide alarm with temperature and humidity sensors. Prices range from 4,681 to 11,980 yen.

A 60-something couple traveling Japan in a camper van posted a video of their in-vehicle dinner in Gifu Prefecture. The clip received 645 likes on Instagram. They bought local specialties at a supermarket: "komodofu" (tofu wrapped in straw) and pickled turnip. The couple is touring the country after retirement.

Japanese company RV Trust has unveiled the TR500 C-LH motorhome based on the Toyota Hiace Wagon GL. The model is under 5 meters long and has four berths. Standard equipment includes an air conditioner, FF heater, 300 Ah lithium-ion battery, and 350 W solar panel. Price in Japan starts at 14.3 million yen.

Snow Peak has introduced the Field Rise roof tent featuring an air-framed structure, set for release later this year. The tent uses inflatable beams instead of poles, reducing setup time. It accommodates two adults, includes mesh panels for ventilation, and comes with a separate awning. Price is 396,000 yen.
