A mechanic was injured after being pinned under a motorhome at a vehicle repair shop in Ergoldsbach (Landshut district). The 34-year-old was performing repair work when a colleague accidentally lowered a hydraulic jack. The employee who activated the mechanism is now under investigation for negligent bodily injury.

A technical inspection of the motorhome is required before the season starts after winter storage. Key steps include body cleaning, checking the water system, tires, brakes, fluids, battery, electrical equipment, and gas installation. For motorhomes up to 3.5 tons, the first inspection is due after 36 months, then every 24 months.

Italian company Caracol AM, in collaboration with Swiss LG Project Management, presented a motorhome entirely printed by an industrial robot in 92 hours. The structure, over 4 meters long, is made from recycled plastic and weighs 660 kg, significantly faster than traditional production which takes about three months. The presentation took place at the Formnext trade fair in Frankfurt.

Four new awning systems for compact camper vans have been introduced, designed to maintain parking garage compatibility. German broadcaster WDR has scheduled several episodes of a documentary series about traveling with campers and caravans. The lineup includes episodes following families on trips to South Tyrol, Tuscany, and the Netherlands using new travel trailers and motorhomes.
