Vöhringer, Motive Development and CityFreighter will present the prototype of the electric motorhome CityFreighter Evolve at the Caravan Salon 2026 in Düsseldorf. The 6.95-meter model is equipped with a 128 kWh battery providing a real-world range of over 400 km. Thanks to lightweight materials, including AIRPLY panels, the kerb weight stays below 3.5 tonnes, with a payload of about 750 kg.
The motorhome sleeps four and features a kitchen, toilet, and heat pump. Fast charging from 10 to 80% takes about 20 minutes at up to 200 kW. According to a new European directive, from 26 November 2029 such motorhomes up to 4.25 tonnes can be driven with a category B licence, provided additional training is completed.
