Japanese company Direct Cars from Suzuka has announced a new compact motorhome model PLAT, set to debut at the Japan Camping Car Show 2026 in Makuhari Messe on January 30, 2026. The model is based on the Hijet Truck chassis but registered as an 8-number (standard vehicle), allowing increased body width and improved stability. The exterior features a 'Designed Geometry' style with geometric lines and a contrast of black body and white shell. PLAT addresses the trade-off between maneuverability and spaciousness, combining compact dimensions for city driving with sufficient interior space for long trips.
