Direct Cars will present the new compact camper PLAT at the Japan Camping Car Show 2026, held at Makuhari Messe from January 30. The vehicle is registered as a standard car (number 8).
According to one source, the PLAT is built on a Daihatsu Hijet Truck; another source says it uses a Hiace Truck chassis. It is equipped with a fold-down bed, a removable kitchen, an electric awning, a magnetic kitchen wall, and a large rear hatch. The interior is functional and spacious despite the compact dimensions.
