Japanese company Direct Cars has unveiled the new compact camper PLAT based on a light truck (according to one source, a Hijet Truck). The model is registered as a regular passenger car (category 8) and has a cabin for four people.
The camper is equipped with a foldable bed, a kitchen panel (kitchen) and a large rear hatch. The premiere and start of sales will take place at the Japan Camping Car Show 2026 at the Makuhari Messe exhibition center. The show runs from January 30 to February 2, 2026.
