German manufacturer Dethleffs from Isny im Allgäu is cutting its caravan range from six to three series. The Camper, Nomad and Beduin Scandinavia lines, priced between 26,000 and 44,000 euros, have been discontinued. Only the entry-level c’joy (from 19,000 euros), c’go (from 23,000 euros) and Summer Edition (from 26,000 euros) remain.
Reasons for the reduction vary across sources: some cite a 13% sales drop in 2025 and more than 8% in the first five months of the current year, others point to a long-term decline in caravan registrations and excess inventory after the pandemic.
At the same time, Dethleffs is expanding its XL motorhome series with two new alcove models: the A6822-2 (7.30 m, from 122,000 euros) and the A7822-2 (8.55 m, twin axle, from 132,000 euros). Both are built on a Fiat Ducatoⓘ Maxi chassis with a 2.2-litre 180 hp diesel engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission. The new models will premiere at the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf (28 August – 6 September). The company promises fully revamped caravans by 2028.
