In Brief

At the CMT fair in Stuttgart, Dethleffs presented the c’fold caravan concept, designed for towing by EVs. When folded, its height and drag decrease, potentially increasing EV range by up to 100 km

German company Dethleffs has unveiled the folding caravan concept c’fold (also referred to as c.fold) at the CMT trade fair in Stuttgart, primarily intended for towing by electric vehicles.

In transport mode, the caravan’s height is 1.65 m and width 1.9 m, reducing aerodynamic drag. According to the manufacturer, this can increase an EV’s range by up to 100 km compared to a standard trailer. The concept weighs 775 kg.

At the campsite, the rigid-walled structure unfolds to provide living space, including a kitchen, a pull-out toilet, and a sleeping area.
